What a curb chain is. Oval links twisted and flattened so they lie flush against each other and against the skin. That flatness is the point â a curb chain sits under a collar without rolling, which is why it is the most-worn men's chain.
Beveled. Flat beveled curb has the edges of each link filed at an angle, so the chain catches light along two planes instead of one.
Fancy curb. Rounded and fancy curb links keep more of the original oval profile, giving a heavier, more sculptural look at the same width.
Choosing a width. Under 3mm reads as a pendant carrier. 4â6mm wears well alone. 7mm and up is a statement chain and needs the neck to carry it.
