What CZ is. A lab-created stone cut the same way a diamond is. It is slightly softer and heavier, and at conversational distance the difference is not visible — which is the whole point.
Styles. Solitaires, halo settings, eternity bands and engagement designs.
Why people buy them. A travel ring you would not mourn, a design you want without the stone cost, or a placeholder. All three are common and none of them needs justifying.
Sizing. Most can be sized, though a band set with stones all the way round generally cannot.
