St. Peregrine & St. Roch Medals — Gold

    Filter

St. Peregrine and St. Roch medals in solid 14K gold — two patrons of the sick, on one page.

St. Peregrine. The patron of cancer patients. He was to have a leg amputated for a tumour and prayed through the night before surgery; the tumour was gone by morning. His medal is the one most often given at a diagnosis.

St. Roch. Patron of the plague-stricken and of dogs, shown with a wound on his thigh and a dog carrying bread. Invoked against infectious illness.

Why they are given. These are medals bought for someone else at a hard moment — an illness, a surgery, a long recovery.
