Why oval. The shape drops rather than circling, so it follows the line of the jaw instead of standing out from it. That reads more elongating, which is the usual reason people choose it over a round hoop.
Worked detail. Twists, textured surfaces and diamond-cut faces, so the metal catches light along the curve rather than in one place.
Sizing. An oval is measured on two axes — check both, since a 25mm oval hangs noticeably lower than a 25mm round.
White gold. Rhodium finished for a cool bright shine, renewable by a jeweller if it softens after years.
