The finish. Shimmer comes from surface texture rather than added stones — the silver is worked so it throws light from every angle. On a hoop that means brightness along the whole curve rather than a single flash.
Styles. CZ oval hoops, studs and drops. Cubic zirconia is a lab-created stone cut like a diamond; at arm's length it reads almost identically, at a fraction of the cost.
Caring for it. Use a polishing cloth, not abrasive polish — abrasive would flatten the texture the finish depends on.
