      More about Men's Wedding Bands

The width. Bands from 5 mm upward, where most men settle. A wider band reads more substantially on the hand and carries more gold, so it costs more and wears heavier.

A man who has never worn a ring usually wants comfort fit — domed on the inside so it rides over the knuckle on a curve rather than an edge. If he works with his hands, a lightweight version of the same profile carries less gold and sits lighter all day.

The profiles. Half round is domed across the face, flat has square edges, and comfort fit is domed on the inside.

By metal. Yellow, white and rose gold, all stamped 10K — 41.7% pure gold, alloyed for strength.

      Common questions

What width band should I choose?

Width is personal, not technical. The width in millimeters is on every product page, and holding a ruler against a ring you already wear is the quickest way to judge it.

      What is comfort fit?

The inside of the band is domed rather than flat, so it passes over the knuckle on a curve. It feels looser at the same measured size, so a comfort fit band is often ordered a quarter size smaller.

      What does 10K mean?

10K gold is 41.7% pure gold, alloyed with other metals for strength. It is harder than 14K, which is what you want in a ring that is never taken off. Every band here is stamped 10K.

Will a 10K gold band tarnish?

No. Gold does not tarnish at any purity. A soft cloth and warm soapy water keep it bright. Take it off before a chlorinated pool.
