Heart bracelets in solid 14K and 10K gold and .925 sterling silver — puffed, open, dangle and multi-heart designs.
More about heart bracelets
The designs. Open hearts cut through the metal; puffed hearts are domed on both faces and read fuller for their weight. Multi-heart bracelets run hearts the length of the chain, and dangle designs hang a single heart from the wrist. Others work a heart into a link, a safety pin, an X, or an infinity symbol.
Words and enamel. Puffed LOVE and MOM hearts spell the word across the shape. Enameled hearts come in red, pink and multi-color, and glass hearts in red, green and blue — the color is fired or set rather than finished on, so it will not wear off.
Metals. Solid 14K and 10K gold in yellow, white, two-tone and tri-color, and .925 sterling silver. A rose-tone finish appears on some of the silver. Gold is stamped with its purity; silver is stamped .925.
Sizes and lengths. Adult lengths run around 7 to 7.5 inches, some with an extension chain. Children's bracelets are shorter — 5.5 or 6 inches — and sized for a small wrist.
For a child. Several are made as baby and children's bracelets — lighter gauge, shorter length, and a clasp a parent fastens. A heart is the usual first bracelet at a christening or a first birthday.
