The 10K Yellow Gold Polished Medium Domed Floral Heart Locket is solid 10K Yellow Gold, stamped 10K and guaranteed authentic. 10K gold is 41.7% pure gold alloyed for strength, which makes it the hardest-wearing karat for a piece worn every day. The surface is polished.
Details: opens, polished back.
The locket opens to hold a photo or a keepsake and closes with a snap. Holds 2-13.3x13.3mm Heart Shaped Photos.
It measures 21 mm top to bottom including the bail and 15.3 mm across. The bail opening is 5.85 mm by 3.9 mm, which fits most standard chains. It weighs about 0.67 grams.
Solid gold does not tarnish, so a soft cloth and warm soapy water keep it bright. Take it off before a chlorinated pool, and have any settings checked once a year if you wear it daily.
A locket holds a photo or a lock of hair; a gift for a mother, a bride, a graduate or a memorial. It is sold without a chain, so check the bail size above against one you already own.
