The 14K White Gold Brushed Diamond Star 21mm Oval Locket is a hollow 14K White Gold oval locket that opens to hold two photographs cut to 13 x 19.4 mm. Stamped 14K and guaranteed authentic — the gold runs through the piece rather than over it, so the color cannot wear thin at the edges the way a coating does. The body is hollow, as a locket has to be, which keeps it light enough to wear every day.
The surface is polished and brushed. A rhodium finish over the gold holds a bright white surface and resists scratching. Inside, a blue fabric liner cushions the photographs. The back is left smooth and polished. It is die struck, which gives the detail crisper edges than casting.
It measures 28 mm from the top of the bail to the bottom, 16.9 mm across. The bail opening is 3.9 mm by 5.7 mm, which fits most standard chains. It weighs about 1.55 grams. It is sold without a chain.
