The hours are marked with Roman numerals. The gold-tone color is an IP (ion-plated) finish, bonded to the metal for better wear than ordinary plating.
It runs on a Japanese quartz movement, powered by a battery, so it needs no winding. It includes a date window. The dial is protected by a mineral glass crystal. It is water resistant to 3 ATM, which covers splashes and rain; take it off before swimming or showering.
